
PA Partnership for Direct Care Workers Application Approved

WEDnetPA/Industry Partnership funding has been approved in the amount of $13,500 for Pennsylvania Partnership for Direct Care Workers to provide for International Computer Driver License (ICDL) training for 30 employees of Temple University Health System and Northeast Philadelphia Hospital. Corporate Solutions will handle the processing and overseeing of the grant monies. This is in addition to the $150,000 already awarded to hospitals participating in the partnership. Industry Partnerships were set up in Pennsylvania to meet the skill needs of businesses, the career goals of workers and the economic development goals of the Commonwealth in nine (9) targeted Industry Clusters. Health Care is part of the Life Sciences cluster.
